Jonathan, maybe I'm young and naive, but I don't think this means you can't be happy with someone. No doubt there's a woman out there who is looking for the same sort of thing.

I'm reading Becoming by Michelle Obama right now, and one of the things she talks about is the Obama marriage. He was often not sleeping in the same bed as her, first when writing his books and then when running his political campaigns, and she spent a (very) large portion of their early marriage sleeping alone because he was gone. Many women would consider that unacceptable, but it was for Michelle.

Keep being you. If there's a woman out there who wants this part of you, then great. If not, then you're better off without 'em 🙂

Thank you. I think there is as well, it's also about timing and life circumstances. My kids are almost out of the nest and when they are safely on their own, I think I will have more room. I just don't want to have to be different, for that, I'd rather enjoy the time alone.
