It's easy for me to believe you have the wrong therapist, even after all these years. I think there are lots of wrong therapists for you out there and only a handful of right ones.
I find I make tons of progress with the right therapist, but the one with the wrong one, therapy feels like a waste of my time. I know I'm with the right therapist when going to therapy every week feels difficult and emotional; I know I'm with the wrong one (or not making progress) when it feels humdrum.
